2. Pretend you are writing to Marcela and answer the same questions she answered telling her about your life in Perth. Place your completed interview in your Amazon portfolio.
3. Watch the 'Living in the Amazon' video and write a list of all the things the native people use from the forest in their daily lives - for example what do they eat, to make their homes, for transport and for clothing and medicine. Put this list in your Amazon portfolio.
Not only do many different animals live in the Amazon rainforest, but people have lived there for thousands of years. These people are native to the rainforest and generally live in tribes. No one knows exactly how many native people are living in the Amazon but what we do know for certain is that the numbers have decreased greatly over the years.
It is believed that there are still some tribes living in the Amazon who have had no contact with the outside world - in other words they have never seen or talked to people like you and no one has ever talked to them.
